Maria D. Rivera Quijas, OTA
Maria brings a strong background in education to our team. She is also bilingual teacher with a focus on elementary-aged students, and her most recent role was as a reading interventionist. In that position, she supported at-risk students in reading and writing through a pull-out instructional model using a structured literacy program.
She is a Certified Handwriting Specialist through Learning Without Tears. Her interest in occupational therapy was inspired by her work with children in the school setting and her desire to support their development more holistically.
Maria is thrilled to join Greater Heights Pediatric Therapy as an occupational therapy assistant and looks forward to a meaningful and collaborative partnership with caregivers and families.
